Current concepts of literary communication acknowledges that the reading of the text works treated the viewer once passed the "corridor" of the book, which is filled with texts that surround the author's text and attract and lure potential readers or buyers to purchase or reception of the book. This process is then able to guide and shape the future readers reception. Contribution analyses Czech communication of peritext in literature for children and young people in our country and the subjekt matter - body´s and sensory handicaps. It maps paratexts of the book and describes their characteristics. The typical characteristic of this peritexts are high competitive of book market, media influence, the dominant position of the work's title and back cover, the role of mediator, low number of paratexts in the book and advertising practices.
